Have you completed Part 1 of the A1–A2 course? Do you already have a foundation in Dutch and want to become even more confident at A2 level so that you can successfully complete it? Then this course is for you. If you would like to expand your vocabulary, practise past tenses, and learn how to use conjunctions more effectively, this course is the right choice. The course language is English or Polish.
Duration: 8 weeks × 2-hour live online lessons with a teacher (16 contact hours in total) in a group of 5–6 students;
Lesson schedule: weekday evenings or weekends, depending on the course start date;
Learning materials: course book and e-learning platform with video lessons and interactive multimedia exercises, included in the total price (€390.00).

Let's talkYou will receive a course book for this level by post (included in the course fee). In addition, you will gain access to the Academy Edu-Dutch e-learning platform, which includes extra video lessons and interactive exercises that complement the course book. Together, they provide the perfect combination for learning and retaining new vocabulary, reviewing grammar explanations, and building confidence in speaking Dutch.
During the live lessons, you will practise all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will actively use and reinforce the material you have prepared before class.
You will begin by learning how to talk about the weather in the present, future, and past. You will practise speaking in different tenses and become more comfortable communicating about everyday topics. The course also covers themes such as childhood and family life in the past, making complaints, travelling and holiday plans, Dutch food traditions and gezelligheid, sports, and Dutch traditions such as cycling and ice skating.
Grammar topics include the past tense, separable verbs in a variety of sentence structures, conjunctions and how to use them correctly, reflexive verbs, the Dutch word er, and useful constructions that are commonly used in everyday Dutch, such as bezig zijn met and zitten te.

The platform helps you learn Dutch more quickly and effectively alongside your live lessons.
On average, you will spend about as much time on self-study and homework as you do attending lessons. For a course with 16 contact hours, you should expect to spend an additional 16–20 hours on independent study.
We recommend setting aside at least 4 hours per week to learn Dutch. The more time you invest in practising and completing homework assignments, the better your results will be.
On our Academy Edu-Dutch platform, you can take a test after each module. A score of 75% or higher is required to pass. In total, there are 8 module tests, and after completing the final module, you can take an online exam.
If you achieve a score of 75% or higher on the exam, you will pass and be able to download a certificate from the platform confirming the level you have completed.
