Do you already have a solid foundation in Dutch (B1 level) and want to become more fluent and confident when speaking? Then this course is for you. The focus is on active language use: you will practise speaking extensively in a variety of situations, such as at work, in social settings, and during discussions. You will continue to expand your vocabulary and learn how to express yourself effectively in different contexts, helping you communicate more naturally and precisely. It is expected that you already have a good command of the main grammar structures; during the lessons, you will refine your language skills and work on improving accuracy and correctness. You will also learn more about Dutch culture and society, enabling you not only to understand the language better but also to feel more at home in the Netherlands.
Duration: 15 weeks × 1 hour of individual online lessons per week,
Lesson times: Weekday evenings or weekends (flexible scheduling). We will contact you within 48 hours of your registration, so you can start within one week.
Learning materials: A course book and access to an e-learning platform with multimedia exercises (6 months of access), all included in the total price (€1,500.00).

Let's talkFor this course, we use the textbook Vooruit. The book will be sent by post to the address you provide (both the textbook and shipping costs are included in the course fee). In addition, you will receive 6 months of access to our Edu-Dutch Academy e-learning platform, which includes additional homework assignments, videos, texts, and multimedia exercises that complement the textbook. This combination is an effective way to learn and retain new vocabulary, deepen your knowledge of the Netherlands, and become more confident in conversations.
During the lessons with your teacher, you will practise all language skills, including writing, reading, listening, and speaking. The lessons focus on applying and reinforcing the material you have prepared beforehand.
A strong emphasis is placed on speaking, and you will learn how to respond appropriately in a variety of situations. We also explore Dutch culture and customs in greater depth, as understanding traditions and social norms will help you use the language more naturally and effectively. To prepare for each lesson, you will work with a text and/or video about the Netherlands or other relevant topics.

After successfully completing this course, you can continue your Dutch studies with the B1+–B2 course or follow a course that prepares you for the NT2 Program I examination.
On the e-learning platform, you will find additional exercises that complement the course book and allow you to practise and reinforce the new vocabulary you learn throughout the course.
Access to the platform is included for a period of 6 months. If you continue with the next course with us, your access will be extended.
In addition to the 15 contact hours with your teacher, you should expect approximately 30–40 hours of additional self-study.
With the Edu-Dutch Academy platform, you can learn Dutch independently, wherever and whenever it suits you.

The platform is designed to help you learn Dutch faster and more effectively, while reinforcing what you learn during your lessons.
On average, you will spend approximately 40 hours on self-study throughout the course. We recommend setting aside at least 3 hours per week to learn and practise Dutch.
The more time you invest in studying, completing assignments, and practising the language, the better your results will be and the faster your progress will be.
On the Academy Edu-Dutch platform, you can complete a wide range of quizzes to practise the grammar topics and new vocabulary you have learned throughout the course.
At the end of the course, you can take an online final exam. If you achieve a score of 75% or higher, you will pass the exam and be able to download a certificate from the platform confirming the level you have achieved.
