Have you studied Dutch before and reached A1 level? Do you already have a basic knowledge of Dutch and want to take the next step? Then this course is for you. If you have an A1 level of Dutch and would like to expand your vocabulary, improve your speaking skills, and learn to communicate more confidently in everyday conversations, this course is the right choice. The course language is English or Polish.
Duration: 8 weeks × 2-hour live online lessons with a teacher (16 contact hours in total) in a group of 5–6 students;
Lesson schedule: weekday evenings or weekends, depending on the course start date;
Learning materials: course book and e-learning platform with video lessons and interactive multimedia exercises, included in the total price (€390.00).

Let's talkYou will receive a course book for this level by post (included in the course fee). In addition, you will gain access to the Academy Edu-Dutch e-learning platform, which includes extra video lessons and interactive multimedia exercises that complement the course book. This combination provides an effective way to learn and retain new vocabulary, review grammar explanations, and build confidence in speaking Dutch.
During the live lessons, all language skills are covered, including writing, reading, listening, and speaking. You will practise and apply the material you have prepared before class.
The course begins with topics such as describing your strengths and weaknesses, talking about emotions, and expanding your vocabulary. You will then explore a variety of practical themes, including body parts and physical appearance, illness and health, making an appointment with a general practitioner (GP), the difference between making an appointment and arranging to meet someone, ordering takeaway fries and eating in a restaurant, education and learning, school life, and office supplies.
In terms of grammar, you will learn topics such as comparative and superlative forms, word order in longer sentences, the imperative, diminutives, the present perfect tense, and a range of useful words and expressions that are commonly used in everyday conversations.

After successfully completing this course, you can continue with the A2.1–A2.2 follow-up course.
On the e-learning platform, you will find 8 modules that correspond to the course book, featuring additional video lessons and interactive exercises. Access to the platform is included throughout the course and for 2 weeks after it ends (10 weeks in total). If you continue with the next course level, your access will be extended.
The e-learning platform also includes the course book audio recordings and answer keys for the exercises.
In addition to the 16 contact hours with your teacher, you should expect to spend approximately 20–30 hours on independent study. This amounts to around 3–4 hours of self-study per week.
With the Academy Edu-Dutch platform, you can learn Dutch independently, whenever and wherever it suits you.

On the Academy Edu-Dutch platform, you can take a test after each module. A score of 75% or higher is required to pass. In total, there are 8 module tests, and after completing the final module, you can take an online final exam.
If you achieve a score of 75% or higher on the final exam, you will pass and be able to download a certificate from the platform showing the level you have achieved.
