Heb je nog nooit eerder Nederlands geleerd of wil je graag vanaf A0 beginnen? Dan is deze cursus voor jou. Je hoeft geen kennis van het Nederlands te hebben om mee te doen. De taal van de cursus is Engels of Pools.

You will receive two books for this level (A0–A1) by post (included in the price). In addition, you will get access to our e-learning platform, Academy Edu-Dutch, with 70+ video lessons and 100+ multimedia exercises connected to the course books. It is the perfect combination to help you learn and remember new vocabulary quickly and effectively, revise grammar explanations, and start speaking Dutch with confidence.
During the lessons with your teacher, all language skills are covered, including writing, reading, listening, and speaking. You practise what you have already prepared before the lesson.
The first part of the course (modules 1 to 8) starts with the alphabet and pronunciation, followed by greetings, sentence structure, and asking questions. You will also learn grammar topics such as verb conjugation, numbers, prepositions, articles, and plurals. In addition, you will begin practising everyday conversations, for example introducing yourself. Topics include the market, the supermarket, inside and outside the house, as well as an introduction to the future tense.
The second part of the course (modules 9 to 16) begins with introducing family members. After that, topics include household tasks, preparing food, work and workplace conversations, professions, daily activities, and shopping. You will also learn about Dutch traditions and culture, such as the use of “lekker”, coffee breaks, and birthday calendars. In grammar, you will study topics such as prepositions, possessive pronouns, modal verbs, the ‘aan het’ construction, separable verbs, adjectives, demonstrative pronouns, and negations (“niet” and “geen”). The future tense is explained in more detail, and you will also be introduced to the perfect tense (present perfect).

On the e-learning platform, you will find 16 modules that accompany the course books, where you can watch additional grammar explanation videos and complete exercises. Access to the platform is provided for 6 months. If you continue with the next course level with us, your access will be extended.
On the platform, you will also find audio recordings for the course books and answer keys for the book exercises.
In addition to 15 contact hours with the teacher, you can expect approximately 30–40 hours of additional self-study.
On the Academy Edu-Dutch platform, you can learn Dutch independently — whenever and wherever it suits you.

The platform helps you learn Dutch faster and more effectively alongside your lessons.
On average, you will spend around 30 hours on self-study. Keep in mind that you should dedicate at least 4–5 hours per week to learning Dutch. The more time you invest in practising and doing homework, the better your course results will be.
On our Academy Edu-Dutch platform, you can take a test after each module. You pass the test with a score of 75% or higher. In total, there are 16 tests.
After the final module (module 8 of the first part and module 16 of the second part), you can take an online exam. If you achieve a score of 75% or higher, you will pass and be able to download a certificate from the platform showing the level you have completed.
